Radial shockwaves are high-energy acoustic waves. These waves are transmitted through the skin and spread into the body in a circular motion. RSWT is a simple, non-invasive treatment. No surgery and no medication. The site of pain is located by your Podiatrist via palpation and RSWT is administered after applying a contact gel to the affected area. Application lasts for just over 3 minutes and the radial shockwaves produce an analgesic effect on the entire area where pain occurs.
